  1. Hi Uncle Larry, I sent my guitar for a set up with a luthier and when I got it back it was in tune or intonated on every string open and on the 12th fret, but when I played octaves from the 12th fret down the notes are sharp on the tuner and sounds too, why does that happens?
I even put very little effort touching the strings and not bend when playing.
    Cheers!

  2. Hi Tom -Sorry for the flurry of posts. My first concert was when I was 11 years old (1969)The Who and James Gang opened for them. 6 dollars. Not a bad intro to rock music.

  3. Tom- Since your son is under 16 and hit a triple in baseball. Would you call it

a “minor triad” ? Just a random thought

    Thanking you in advance

  5. Uncle Larry! I am in town for a couple days, 5/13 and 5/14, seeing Guthrie tonight. Are In Stereo CD avail to pick up here in person somewhere? Thank you, Joseph Preissing

  6. Hey Tom – Last April you did a bonus video “Spring Is Here” where you played a Harmony Sovereign, great tune and amazing tone. In another video you mentioned the guy’s name who did the conversion on that Sovereign…is he a Nashville guy? I found one website for Baxendale Conversions in NM, but don’t think that’s who it was.

I downloaded “In Stereo” and waiting on the album, amazing stuff…best record I’ve heard in years, great musicians, recording, mixing and production – incredible! Take care.

  7. You should do a video elaborating about which guitars sound the worst in a mix. Kind of blew my mind about your wise Jazzmaster observation. Listened to my Jazzmaster in a track I did and it was too boomy. You’re spot on in that assessment. Thank you for your videos!

    • the guitars that sound “worst in a mix” normally are just shitty sounding guitars in general…no particular one brand or style

  8. Hello Tom, what are your thoughts on guitars with Floyd Rose tremolos. Do you own any (or have you)

  9. Hey Tom, is there any “shred” guitars you’ve owned over the years and what are your thoughts on guitars like that? (Eg: Jackson/Ibanez/Kramer/etc)

    • i grew up playing floyd’s, but then i got totally away from the shred lifestyle once i realized that only dudes listen to that

  10. Received signed copy yesterday. Best thing I’ve heard since Trip The Witch!
My Mt Rushmore of Guitarists: Garcia, Willie, Hendrix, and Bukovac!
Sounds so good! Bravo to you and Guthrie!

  11. Hi Uncle Lawrence Esq. Is there any way you can post the music/tab on how to play either

“Wall of Sound” or ” Firebird Lullaby” ? 2 of the most beautiful melodies I have ever

    heard. Gladly pay for it

    Thanks again for your channel.

  12. Hi Tom,

Looking forward to your new music and would have liked it in CD format.
Your cash register rung up postage to Australa, of $147. I think we may have a
case of twisted tumblers. Is that amount correct? Just asking…

    Sam

    • Hi Sam…that sounds way higher than it should be. It should be much less from what I understand unless you are located in a very rural area. Please reach out to Josh over at Music City Bridge for a shipping quote to your location. His email is howdy@musiccitybridge.com

Thanks so much for your support!

  13. I’m rewatching your 2022 Birthday Party show, your on stage with Jedd Hughes and you’re playing a blonde Dusenburg, whose signature is on that guitar?

  14. Listening to “In Stereo” now. Sounds great! Congrats to you and Guthrie. I love the nod to “Ebony and Ivory” in “Corporate Eye”. Ballsy!

  15. Tom, have you ever been in the studio or shared a stage with Johnny Cash? I just finished reading a book about him by Greg Laurie and it was really good. What a life and soooo many contributions Johnny Cash had for music.

  16. Just saying Thank You for the all your gracious time you give and the Ultimate Tom Bukovac Picking Lesson….I always learn something new playing or otherwise and constantly review all your videos. But The Ultimate Tom is my go to and will be learning from it a long long time. Thank You for renewing my love of it all!

  17. Hi Tom, as far as I know, you use Medium Fender picks….which I fin rather thinn and flexible. Would you mind showing in a future episode, how you get your lightning speed picking with those thinn picks. Thank you in advance and take car Dirk

      • Just to tell: I use 10 gauge strings and play maily tele. My “normal” goto pick is a Dunlop Ultex 0.88mm…. I tried just for fun the original Fender Mediums and found them to thin for my picking…especially on faster runs….so I sit htere and admire your speed with these ( I did not say flimpsy :O) ) rather thin picks….but to each it´s own….maybe I´m just not used to this Flimpsyness
Cheers and keep on going ….I´ll be watching and trying…..

  18. Hi , I know you like unique guitars, and boy do have one. Made the mistake of public posting and my phone caught fire. Got a ‘54 Silvertone U2, model 1359. First year prototype Danelectro. Aluminum neck through instead of truss. I’ve had 30 years and cancer bills…I think it be cool as hell to see you play that! It sounds really good man and very unique sound. Not looking to get rich or anything. If not no problems, You just giving me enough entertainment that I thought I’d ask you if you might want it? Anyways, thanks for reading man. ✌️

  19. Tom, I like to think I have good musical ideas and then in the heat of battle my fingers run back for the old familiar foxholes. Your videos and friendship with us all helps me dust myself off and keep marching forward to take the next hill…. hopefully doing just a bit better than the day before. Keep it up and thanks.
