  1. Hey Uncle Larry,

Any experience with vintage Guild F-212s and or XL’s? They are relatively affordable but unsure if that is because they mostly need work at this point. Any difference between 60’s and 70’s if you have experience

  2. What speaker do you like in a old Princeton Reverb. I have a 1968 Drip Edge. I’m kind of on the fence with the Alessandro SC64 I’ve installed.

  3. Hi Tom I am reaching out to you from Germany, hoping you can help me with my Duesenberg G and B Bender issue.
I got. this installed a couple of weeks ago, and from then on , after 4-5 days of playing my B Steins breaks . Did. you experience the same, and if so how did. you fix this.

  4. Hi Tom,
First, thank you so much for all you do to provide us with education, inspiration and sarcastic humor. One question and a comment.

When will Trifecta be available on CD for those of us luddites who still prefer physical media?

You had said on your channel after Trapped in Nashville that we should not try to sound like some of our favorite guitarists but to find our own voice/sound on the instrument. My background – 73 years old, playing off and on since 13. A couple party bands in my youth and now for the past 10+ years playing at our church (mostly electric). My fingerboard knowledge is decent, not spectacular. My knowledge of harmony much less so. I rely on trying to play what others have played that I love and courses like yours and Guthrie’s (and many other courses and instructional DVD’s that I sometimes try to learn from -great at buying courses, guitars and gear, not so great utilizing them!). I feel like I have won if I can emulate or fairly accurately play Gilmour, Beck, etc and learn some of the nuance of their technique to try to put into my own playing. I don’t feel my playing is at a technique or knowledge level to be able to just be me and have it not sound like repetitive crap.

Currently working on Dann Huff’s “Waiting on a Whisper”. Looking forward to your new course as well. Thanks again for all your free wisdom, advice and incomparable playing and musical knowledge. Good luck raising your teenagers. Been there… they are now in their 40’s and the teen years challenges have turned into wonderful blessings.

  5. Hey Larry, I know you also play with the pick turned sideways. I’ve got into that habit myself and can hardly go back now.. Do you switch depending on speed, attack or feel, or just go with whatever feels right? Cheers, mate! PG

  6. Hey Tom! I was watching a five watt world episode on Princeton Reverbs, and they mentioned that you used to run your Princeton as a head through a 2×12 cabinet for club gigs. Is that true? If so, what speakers did you prefer in the 2×12? Thanks!
